The story of Returned Master begins on Chinese New Year's Eve, with the brutal slaughter of the retired General Li's household by a mysterious assailant. The youngest son, Li Jian Wei, survives by luck and assumes a new identity to infiltrate Ghost Valley and exact revenge.
