Coffee Prince (2007)
Coffee Prince is a heartwarming story about Choi Han Gyul, the grandson of a wealthy family, and Go Eun Chan, a tomboy who is often mistaken for a guy. Han Gyul, who has never had a job, is hung up on his first love, Han Yoo Joo, and does not care for responsibility. Eun Chan, on the other hand, has taken over as the breadwinner in her family after her father's death.
When Han Gyul and Eun Chan meet, he decides to hire her to pretend to be his gay lover to escape the blind dates arranged by his grandmother. As they spend more time together, they develop feelings for each other, but their relationship is complicated by the fact that Han Gyul does not know Eun Chan is a girl. The story explores themes of identity, love, and self-discovery as the characters navigate their relationships and personal growth.
As Han Gyul takes over a rundown old coffee shop, later renamed 'Coffee Prince,' he and Eun Chan work together to make it a success. Along the way, they face challenges and obstacles, including Han Gyul's grandmother's disapproval and the secret of Eun Chan's true identity. The drama is a beautiful portrayal of the complexities of human relationships and the power of love to overcome adversity.
