The story follows Ju Ho Jin, an interpreter, and Cha Mu Hui, a top star, as their working relationship turns into a precarious emotional entanglement. Ju Ho Jin's professional rule is to stay neutral and invisible, but this rule collapses once he is assigned to Mu Hui and begins quietly altering her harsh statements into softer versions.

As Ho Jin works with Mu Hui, he realizes he isn't just her interpreter but the only person allowed to hear what she genuinely means.
